Man’s earlobe bitten off for objecting to friend being harassed in Gurugram

Gurugram: According to police on Friday, during a fight at a bar in Sector 32, Gurugram, a 29-year-old man's right earlobe was allegedly chewed off by another man when the victim complained about one of his female companions being harassed. According to investigators, the incident happened outside the club on Thursday at around one in the morning, just as the victim Gaurav Dubey and his pals Tanuj Jaglan and Raman Chahar, together with two women, were leaving.

Sandeep Kumar, a public relations officer for the Gurugram Police, stated that they have the registration number of the SUV from which the suspects fled. He said they have been located and will be taken into custody shortly. Dubey's friends hurried him to the Medanta Hospital in Sector 38, where physicians treated him, according to a senior police official in charge of the investigation. After one of Dubey's pals called the police control center, an emergency response car pulled up to the scene. At that point, the police officer stated, wishing to remain anonymous, the suspects had fled towards Delhi.

The complaint states that the suspect, who was under the influence of alcohol, went up to one of the women who was with Dubey and began acting inappropriately toward her. The defendant became involved in a heated debate with the five buddies and began abusing them after they objected to this.

A brief altercation erupted between the two groups after the suspect summoned one of his cronies from the lower floor. Then, when one of his female companions looked down to see how they were doing, Dubey, a lawyer who practices at the Gurugram civil court, claimed that the suspect was pestering a woman on the ground floor. He claimed that after seeing her, the suspect went upstairs and began acting inappropriately around her.

After the altercation, the three men—two of whom were inside the club—attacked us with iron rods and bats as we were making our way from the club to the parking lot and our car. Dubey stated, "They attacked us, but we were able to disarm them."

The leading suspect then bit off the lobe of his right ear, he said. The trio took off in an SUV. He claimed that they had also stolen my gold chain. An FIR was filed at the Gurugram Sadar police station on Thursday under many sections of the Indian Penal Code in response to Dubey's accusation.
