Delhi ice cream vendor stabbed to death after fight over payment near India Gate

In the national capital, close to India Gate, an ice cream vendor was fatally stabbed. Prabhakar, a 25-year-old, has been identified as the dead. After identifying the offender with the help of CCTV cameras placed in surrounding stores, the police apprehended him while he was on the run.

Late on Wednesday night, Delhi Police received reports of a knife attack on an ice cream vendor. They then transported the sufferer to the hospital. He later passed away from his wounds, though, according to the police. According to the preliminary inquiry, there was a fight that resulted in the deceased being attacked with a knife. The dead had three wounds on his body, the deepest of which caused his demise. The police told ANI that they had also found a watch and some cash in the victim's purse.

A case has been filed in accordance with section 302. There is still work being done in terms of the investigation and capturing the accused.

According to police records, a 25-year-old ice cream vendor was repeatedly stabbed in February of this year near the Chandni Chowk district of north Delhi. At 1:25 a.m., the Kotwali police station received a PCR call from the authorities detailing the event at Nai Sarak.

After a team was sent, they learned that the man had been brought to LNJP Hospital with multiple stab wounds to his hip, thigh, and back. A top official informed PTI that the victim was too drunk to make a statement.

Investigative teams were put together to look into the occurrence, the officer continued. The attackers, who rode up on a two-wheeler, were identified through close examination of CCTV footage.

After more investigation, it was discovered that the victim and another ice cream vendor got into a fight two or three days before. The aspect of animosity is being confirmed. The officer further stated that legal action will be taken following the recording of the wounded party's statement.
